Well done these that have got through, particularly young Ewan, but not a great week so far for a home futures when overall we've just got the three quarter finalists we were guaranteed ( and as said have one guaranteed semi finalist ) but no-one else through though we were seeded for a fourth.

Distinct lack of taking out any of the well ranked peskies. Anyway let's hope for a good conclusion to the week.

In a home futures I start off more looking at Brits being drawn together as more restricting us beating the seeding odds rather than the comfort of the guarantees. Basically I hope that our seeds take care of themselves and let other Brits go elsewhere to try and cause damage.

I agree. Not trying to sound negative but, as you say, apart from Olivia Nicholl's very pleasing victory, there's been no wins of any real note. Because, yes, you expect the players (or at least the odd here and there) to outperform the ranking predictions.

Of course, the men did get 7 out of 8 semifinalist places in the men's doubles. But that doesn't really float the boat.....

Maden's match with his compatriot, the sixth seed, Tobias Simon, has just ended.  It lasted two hours & 57 minutes!

Weill done guys. Their doubles results recently (over the last 6 months or so) have been reminiscent of "Bomb & Burts" a few years back. I've lost count of how many titles they have won together this year, and I know Scott has had a couple extra with other partners when Jonny has been injured.

Decent week for Jonny who hasn't played for a few weeks. Matched his seeding and pushed the top seed. 6 more points in the bag on his/my quest for a Top 500 place.
