Yup, but I am not going to miss sleep tonight following any other matches that I might be tempted to check up on Going to leave my phone downstairs so no chance. I have been wrecked today LOL
They also teamed up at Lubbock, Katie often had a US partner while based out there as a junior including CiCi Bellis and Sofia Kenin but not Usue until recently. Let's hope they make some progress this week.
Freya's Tuesday evening match here still hadn't started by the time Katie's Wednesday morning match in Australia finished but it's now an even bigger deal because the winner will play the winner of a match between two lucky losers.

Freya won the 1st set 6-2 then went 2-4 down in the 2nd but hit back to win the last four games
The win will probably see her break into the WTA top 300, and if she can beat the winner of that battle between two unranked lucky losers, it'll make sure of it

R2: CHRISTIE, Freya (GBR) 304 v Andrea Renee VILLARREAL (MEX) LL UNR
Well done, Ms Christie. Ms Villareal handled her opponent quite neatly (6-3 6-0) and appears recently to have left university (Southeastern Louisiana, according to Google). So perhaps slightly more interesting than the simple string of letters after her name would suggest.
And hurrah to Ms Swan. That's a nice win.
Edit: Snap!
