Both Brits are in the top quarter of the draw and both have avoided seeds in R1 but both have drawn players they have suffered recent losses to

L32: Mirabelle Njoze WR 611 v (Q) Verena Meliss (ITA) WR 1016 (=CH)

Meliss upset Mirabelle 2-6 6-4 6-0 in R1 last week then went out to the 6th seed 5 & 0 in R2.

L32: Suzy Larkin WR 820 v Guadalupe Pérez Rojas (ARG) WR 565 (CH 410 in 2015)

Pérez beat Suzy 4 & 3 in R1 here 3 weeks ago.

She's currently playing doubles with Suzy which is, I think, the first time they've played together.
