Lord, let's hope not.

Dan, however, won the second set 6-1

Various puns come to mind but they're probably in rather poor taste so probably best avoided ....

And Dan won the third too, 6-2

Into the semis....

This time, Dan wins the epic first set tie-break - 7-6(8) - saving at least 3 SPs along the way....

Yes, first one was at 4-5 on his serve, impressive!  Already broken in the first game of the second set though.

But Dan loses the last two sets for a 6-7, 6-0, 6-2 defeat. Oh dear!

Similar SF scoreline to QF, unfortunately the wrong way this time.

QF: (Q/8) Dan Cox WR 662 beat Andrei Stefan Apostol (ROU) WR 710 (CH 710 last month ) 6-7(9) 6-1 6-2

SF: (Q/8) Dan Cox WR 662 lost to (1) Nikola Milojevic (SRB) WR 231 (CH 210 in August) 6-7(8) 6-0 6-2

However, playing a WR 230 player is pretty stiff, especially for a 10k.

Decent effort this week from Dan.

Yes tough ask for Dan.

For completeness, from yesterday, Jay's doubles ended at the SF stage, Romain+ lost so he has to leave. But still off the doubles ranking mark with 6 points.

SF: Romain Barbosa (BEL) & Jay Clarke UNR (617+UNR) lost to Florent Diep & Francesco Vilardo (FRA/ITA) CR 1711 (1189+522) 7-5 6-2

Diep & Vilardo have gone on to take the title, today beating the top seeds 6-1 7-5

It's a doubly difficult ask given the Milojevic is a former JR 1 on his way up. Overall, rather a good week for the GB men.
