Ah, thank you, goldfish. I'd forgotten about Baghdatis and Karolina Sprem. And that in turn is a reminder that there's still the potential with Fognini and Pennetta.
SF: (2) Andy Murray WR 2 vs Gilles Simon (FRA) WR 32 (CH 6 in January 2009)
H2H: 14-2, 1-0 this year 6-4 6-2 at the Madrid Masters.
Scheduled for not before 8 pm local ( 1 pm BST ) after the first SF, (1) Novak Djokovic vs (15) Roberto Bautista Agut ( which is due at not before 9.30 am BST )
So the guy Kyle beat just a week ago is in the semis of a Masters. Just goes to show little there really is in it.
And has just taken the 1st set off Djokovic 6-4
Clearly Djokivic's new found on-court relaxation technique of humming to himself between points isn't working as the racket then gets smashed on the ground.

And now has taken the 2nd as well by the same score.
I've got the impression Novak's been there to be taken the last few months if facing a very good player playing well, just must admit I didn't think 'Steady Eddie' Bautista Agut was one to do it. Well done, Roberto.

Likewise, Indy, there's been a vulnerability to Novak that we haven't seen for a while, but that must be the best win of RBA's career. Very pleased for him, and of course it opens up the possibility of a nice swing in the race for No. 1 spot
Do you suppose that if Mr Murray beats Gilles Simon, the ATP will put him as the featured item on their website? I've been slightly frustrated all week when I checked to see the results, to notice that AM's superb matches were generally a 2nd item, while Novak Djokovic's various struggles got centre stage every (relevant) day.
