Absolutely stormed it
WTA final, at least, for Naomi, to join Hev, Jo, Laura, Annie K, & Tara
Title would enter her into select company this millennium - just Jo & Hev.
Play the Chan's though; tough.

In Linz Cibulkova reaches the final winning 6-4 6-3 and thus confirming her ahead of Jo in the race and leaving Jo out of Shanghai assuming all turn up ( looking at you, Serena )
In the final Domi will face Viktoriya Golubic who 'won' her SF with a walkover against Keys, that following winning her QF with the third set retirement of Muguruza.
Assuming both Muguruza and Keys will be OK ( Muguruza did retire late on at 4-4 in that QF final set ), in the wider Shanghai picture, Muguruza is safe for top 8, but Keys in theory could still be overtaken by both Cibulkova and Kuznetsova ( if she won both the Tianjin and Moscow titles ).
Suarez Navarro's remaining very outside chance of top 8 goes if Cibulkova wins the Linz title.

The Chan sisters win the first set 6-3, Heather and Naomi had their chances (0-40 in one game, Heather missing an easy volley at 30-30 in another) but didn't take them.
Nice little bonus though. The Chan's are pretty good, so no disgrace, and Latisha and Angel sure are feisty. (Part of me wanted Naomi to get her full dudgeon on... bad blob!)

Great to get such a doubles run following their singles exits.
Both Naomi and Heather will now actually be ranked higher for doubles than singles though not anticipating them becoming doubles specialists anytime soon.
