With Katie B looking to be back in the top 400 we will have quite a number in the 300s, with 11 in the top 400. Amanda would give us a 6th in the top 300 and hopefully we can have more fairly soon with Freya certainly hovering, but hasn't made it so far
Yes we have a similar amount of women just a bit short of Aus Open qualies zone. I think that group should target French Open as being a target where we have the same amount of men that are trying for Aus Open qualies. Certainly Mandy as a clay courter must have that in mind.
Yes, I remember reading somewhere Mandy saying that that was her objective for 2016.
So, having fallen a little short, I expect that's still the case for 2017. And quite manageable, in principle.
If she manages to win the semi-final too, she'll jump to a new career high on Monday week and she might get an unseeded opponent in the SFs - Paolini is *5-3 up in the 1st set v 7th seed Trevisan (... who breaks back as I'm writing)
