Looks a very good win for Brydan. I know that Halys had a reputation of being very unpredictable, could be very good, but had real off days. Presumably that's getting better as he matures and some people seem to rate him really very highly.
Edit - PS: I hadn't realised that Halys had been as high as JCH 3 until I was checking his info.

Is Groth a doubles player only now? I notice not in the singles anywhere. Sure I read he was retiring although as a classic serve volley player especially with that serve doubles might make sense.
QF: (2) Brian Baker & Sam Groth (USA/AUS) CR 173 (103+70) beat Marcelo Arévalo (ESA) & Brydan Klein CR 328 (141+187) 6-2 6-4
Brydan and partner won only four points on return. Groth winning 20/21 on serve - winning his first four service games to love before finally dropping a point in the last game. That's some ridiculous serving.
QF: Marcelo Arevalo (ESA) & Brydan Klein CR 328 (141+187) lost to (2) Brian Baker & Sam Groth (USA/AUS) CR 173 (103+70) 6-2 6-4
Opponents serving 7 aces 0 DFs and about 90% points won on both first and second serves creates a slight problem to break serve, well to even get a BP.

He's still playing singles - lost in QR1 here because his ranking has dropped so much he didn't make the cut.
