I did wonder who Watson was when I saw the entries thread for this week, thought Heather had been put in a men's 25K by mistake smile

Edit - Watson was down for the Portugal 25K.

being drawn against someone who was in the top 100 just a few months ago, in the first round of qualifying for a challenger is pretty brutal

Lloyd served for the first set but ended up losing it 5-7 and retiring at 1-2 in the second..... :(

Hope he's OK

Ross Watson lost 6-2 6-1 (NB Not the same Watson who was down for Portugal, Priesty)

Good win for Brydan though Krajicek has been really struggling to get results of late, hence really his rankings drop.

Yes, hope Lloyd OK.

There were two Q places against seeds and a Q v Q match. Unfortunately, Brydan drew one of the shorter straws, but he has already upset Halys once in 2016.

L32: (Q) Brydan Klein WR 349 v (8) Quentin Halys (FRA) WR 170 (CH 136 in Jul)

H2H 1-1 - Halys won 7-6(2) 6-2 in Tiburon last year but Brydan won 6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 in Binghamton in July this year.
