A win here would indicate a real step up in Kyles level and from Paulsi's comment re Roberto's performance against the Milkman there is reason to be optimistic.
Excellent win - broken top 50 this week it looks like. So long as Andy wins, Kyle plays him I believe which is ironic given at Queens Club at the ATP500 level, he also met Andy in the last 8 if memory serves.

Yup, and lost in three. I don't see anyone complaining if meeting in quarter finals becomes a regular event for the pair of them! (... at least until they start meeting in semis)
Terrific news to wake up to this morning. Always thought he had a chance against Bautista but this is still an excellent result and another step forward for Kyle. He is no further up the Live Rankings as the gap between himself and Paire was big but he has consolidated his position at 48. It would take something extraordinary from players below him to stop him finishing the week in the Top 50.
A win the QF however, would bump him up to around 40 in the rankings. Now who might he be playing ?
With regard to Kyle's potential top 50 status, if Live Rankings are to be believed (and that is a big if sometimes), there are only 4 players that could overtake him this week from his provisional position of 48.
Malek Jaziri - Would have to beat Roanic in L16 of Beijing Adrian Mannarino - Would have to beat Nadal / Pouille / Raonic (if seedings go to plan) in Beijing Juan Monaco - Would have to beat Duckworth / Cilic / Nishikori in Tokyo Radek Stepanek - Would have to win Tokyo. He plays Kyrgios in the L16
All this would change of course if Kyle wins his QF.
