Trying hard to keep perspective, and not just start taking things like, 'SF at Premier Mandatory' for granted!
And all this in a year in which she actually did rather poorly in half of the Grand Slams, and missed two of her best chances of the year: Montreal QF v Kucova [121], and USO R16 against Sevastova [48]

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Not bad by Jo to finish it off with a double bagel, Maddy Keys played well today, so probably slight favourite, but I have to say that was vintage Jo after a slow start.
Another good win for Jo today but a tougher test and massive match tomorrow against Keys. Although a lot of focus has been on the race to the world tour finals if Jo were to win here the victory in itself would be massive and that prospect cannot be overlooked now.
Whoever wins we are guaranteed a 10th different winner of a big women's title this year now but unlike a few years ago I think this reflects a depth of quality not a lack of it.
