Pretty good day all in all, good results for Freya and Katie. Looking forward to a rematch, over time we will see a few. With two talented developing teenagers it will be interesting to see how they pan out in both the short and long term. Although they are closer in age and style than Dan and Kyle, the clashes and contrast in games will be no less fascinating.

Katie appears from the scores to be learning how to beat more mature higher ranked players but needs a set to work out their game. Having said that she has always shown tenacity and an apetite for a battle when she loses the first set, a very encouraging quality although I would like to see her do less of it and just win the first set!

Lisa's win over "the Rock" has set up a challenging but eminently winnable 2nd round game, Ana I see as a pretty good yardstick as to the potential to move up from 25K futures
