Always interesting reading the comments on here, just a little summary of how it went today:

Hev started tentatively, her opponent wasn't playing that well, and when Hev found 5th gear it was completely one way traffic.

What a player Jo has become, she stepped it up massively from yesterday and Ostapenko actually played quite well. Just an honour to be courtside and witness a tennis masterclass.

Joss/Laura played a faultless 1st set, but maybe got a little complacent in the 2nd, with their opponents redlining everything and not missing, with lost a close 2nd, but refocused and with their opponents level dropping the 3rd was taken comfortably. Joss and Laura you'd have to say have played equally well, Laura's heavy groundies and Joss's excellent net play are a decent combination.

All the drama happened in the 1st match between Bosnia and Hungary, the Bosnian girl had a full blown asthma attack, the

paramedics were on for a full 15 minutes, she somehow continued, then at 5-5 in the third she fell over, sobbing away, medical staff on again, and yes she continued again only to lose 7-5 in the 3rd. Never witnessed anything like it !

Thanks Phil,  always appreciate your reports.

Great win.

Are we expecting Turkey to be that much of a challenge?

There no.1 is useful - top 100, but we should be too strong.

6-0 thankfully, that third game didn't prove representative of the general flow of play.

In our group, Latvia take the first set over Portugal; as do Croatia over Hungary in the match to decide the next opponents, should we progress.

How far do we normally get? I seem to recall good starts and then falling, but I can't recall which hurdle that happens at.

Very easy 60 61.

Genuinely expected that match to be pretty close, possibly going three. Fantastic stuff from Hev.
