Cagla out to play again, as it's a deciding rubber versus Portugal.
She'll have had 2x 3 set singles and 2 doubles in her legs by the time she plays tomorrow.
Looks to me we're very dominant with thanks to Jo and Heather who have been superb, (despite losing a set in doubles), but the other 3 are going to be fighting it out for the next best places, and are surprisingly equal, 1 good player in each team, and the rest making up the numbers. (correct me if I'm wrong).
We want Portugal to win this because we win the tiebreaker over whoever wins between Latvia and Portugal (as we have already beat both of them) if we lose to Turkey.
In other news, Bosnia have lost their 2nd match and it becomes a straight battle between Croatia and Hungary tomorrow for our potential opponent for promotion.#
edit: Turkey won the 2nd set 6-3

Turkey come through, but Cagla has been on court over 8 hours over the two days.
A relatively fresh JoKo, having only played a rough equivalent of early rounds at a tournament should have more than enough.
Soylu against Hev might be more tricky, but then, even if something goes horribly wrong, Turkey have to find a doubles from somewhere.
i) If two Nations score an equal number of points, the head-to-head result between these Nations shall decide the winner.
ii) If three or more Nations score an equal number of points the following procedure must be used:
The number of matches won shall decide the winner.
If matches won are equal, the percentage of sets won of sets played against all teams in the pool shall decide the winner.
If the percentage of sets won is equal, the percentage of games won of games played against all teams in the pool shall decide the winner. When three or more Nations are tied head-to-head results are never used to determine the positions in the pool
Always interesting reading the comments on here, just a little summary of how it went today:
Hev started tentatively, her opponent wasn't playing that well, and when Hev found 5th gear it was completely one way traffic.
What a player Jo has become, she stepped it up massively from yesterday and Ostapenko actually played quite well. Just an honour to be courtside and witness a tennis masterclass.
Joss/Laura played a faultless 1st set, but maybe got a little complacent in the 2nd, with their opponents redlining everything and not missing, with lost a close 2nd, but refocused and with their opponents level dropping the 3rd was taken comfortably. Joss and Laura you'd have to say have played equally well, Laura's heavy groundies and Joss's excellent net play are a decent combination.
All the drama happened in the 1st match between Bosnia and Hungary, the Bosnian girl had a full blown asthma attack, the paramedics were on for a full 15 minutes, she somehow continued, then at 5-5 in the third she fell over, sobbing away, medical staff on again, and yes she continued again only to lose 7-5 in the 3rd. Never witnessed anything like it !
