Katy has just missed out on a seeding this time and, to add insult to injury has drawn the seed she'd probably have least wanted to play bleh

L32: Katy Dunne WR 350 v (4) Eri Hozumi (JPN) WR 199 (CH 144 in 2014)

Hozumi qualified for Seoul WTA last week, so wasn't in Tweed Heads.

The H2H is 0-4, all in Australia - a 3-setter in Aus Open junior qualies in 2012 then 3 straight sets defeats on this same swing in  the Aussie 2015/16 summer, the worst of them being an 0 & 1 thrashing in R2 at this venue last time around. 5th time lucky? ...

I was quite surprised to see a girl from Papua New Guinea win the doubles and reach the semi finals of the singles.

Cabrera beat Kuzmova in the final and it looks like lots more of the good juniors are down to play wk 40.
