Davis Cup 2017 World Group R1 - Canada v Great Britain - 3-5 February

Very good professional performance from Evo winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-4

Shapovalov had moments of brilliance but over all Evo was just too good for him and always looked like he had another gear whenever it was required.

Simple solution to getting more top players to play - don't schedule straight after a GS and reduce matches to best of 3.

 No, No, No furious

I'll take the Davis Cup B05 without the top players over BO3 with them.

GB 1 - Canada 0. But the next match (on this court) worries me a little. Good luck to Mr Edmund!

With the DC I must admit I'm more seeing the problems than coming up with solutions if the overall schedule remains as busy.

Not immediately after Slam - Yes. Best of 3 - No.  But final set TBs - Yes ! ( not sure that particular one changes much, just I much prefer final set TBs full stop ).

Think maybe every 2 years, the odd years, as some have suggested, might help.

Oh oh, pressure when first having to serve to stay in the set and an awful miss at *15-30

Work to be done, 4-6, c'mon !

Question is, just how fit is Pospisil, and will that leg last ?

The leg would have probably felt worse a set down.

Long time since I have seen Kyle make so many errors on the forehand.

When was the last time Kyle played on a court this fast?

I am sure that has a lot to do with it.

This is awful. Two matches in a row he has just folded.

Certainly very far from Kyle's court of choice. Questions have been asked about him on a fast court before with his shot prep and movement though his movement has been generally improving.

Got to dig in and find ways though when the wind, the courtspeed or whatever it may be, is not to your liking.

Second set goes the way of the first.  Kyle on his uppers at the moment:  4-6 1-6 2-1*...

Slightly more encouraging end to his service game. Needs to make inroads against the serve soon though.
