Not much Davis cup news about this early in the week but found this online to wet the appetite. Pospisil is pumped for the tie and reckons the home atmosphere will ignite his passion for Canada and an above ranking performance. He does concede is form early this year and last was poor..
Does anyone know if Andy has travelled to Canada? Was just flicking through the @britishtennis clips on twitter looked like Andy in the background of one of them.
Thanks for that. The author states GB are no.1 seeds but we are infact seeded no.2.
Maybe his sly ploy to rouse the Canadian public?
Yes skibbarriz, I sense much gamesmanship in Ottawa. The Mounties will give the Brit's a right royal reception... I hope Evo and Kedders can remain focused. Two big Canadian's ready to smash it down our throats if we're not ready on day1. The atmosphere will be rocking and a touch partizan.. Can't wait...
If Andy has turned up, that's just 'true brit'.. Didn't expect he'd be anywhere near, truely Amur is a team player. Never have so many owed so much to so few.... or something like that, sorry just got back from the pub... Come on GB!
I wonder if Dan has his clothing contract sorted? He is guaranteed a lot of exposure this weekend! And he is down to play every week until the start of April when he may be needed again for DC duty...
Yes interesting piece about Dan, particularly the bit suggesting he wins 52% on the opponents 2nd serve and his superb break point haul..
So it's Pospisil up first for Dan and from what I remember of this guy he had a big serve I think from memory but the rest of his gave is not so impressive. A few years since I watched this guy though so not sure what to expect. He sounds pumped for the tie. He had a poor year last year and a crap start to this year so hopefully he doesn't buck the trend..
As for Kedders against Polansky, if this is to be the matchup, I've no idea what will happen, I just hope the court isn't too quick and this Polansky bloke isn't another left-hander..
This is a great test for both, favourites but still needing to complete the job. Will be much tighter than rankings suggest I'm sure.

He is not, but Shapovalov who was originally picked for this tie ahead of Polansky, is.
With the Canadian ranking order Polansky, Pospisil, Shapovalov, then if they play Pospisil and Shapovalov on day one against Dan and Kyle it would be Dan vs Shapovalov and Kyle vs Pospisil.
Hopefully Dan can get his first World Group win and that will free up Kyle. With Canada probably favourites for the doubles, would be nice to finish day 1 with a 2-0 lead.
It's hard to know Dan's psyche but i hope the run of televised losses in DC doesn't play on his mind. It'd be understandable if he feels he still needs to prove himself to the British DC watching public.
