Two slightly surprising results to finish with.

The French tiddler put out Ella Taylor.

And Anna Popescu got beaten by Mollie.

Both in three sets.

The main draw is out. Two foreigners are drawn against each other (which gets rid of one)

Anna Popescu has got in as a Lucky Loser. Which is nice.

And there are some great guaranteed single point match-ups for some of our players (and, indeed, guaranteed two points).

Yes, plenty points on offer although I see that the only one of our unranked players that stands to get a ranking by any score here, Aimee Gibson ( a re-ranking in her case ), has drawn the top seed.

Emily Ap and Beth look to have a good sections, tough on Aimee.
And Eva gets the number 2 seed, with Lucy (who she beat in 3 sets last week's SF) a possible in round 2, so points will be hard work there.

Emma took the first set in a TB against Jazzamay

Aimee lost the first set against the top seed, 1-6

And Alicia won the first set easily (6-1) against Jodie LT but it's 3-3 in the second

Emma Hurst has just beaten Jazzamay in straight sets.

Olivia Nicholls going well against the 4th seed

I suspect those who perform well this week will get wildcards for next week as the tournament is a lot stronger(Just Emily App and Beth in main draw at present)

Congrats to Emma for another good week (and still going)

She's our top UK Uni student (unless I've forgotten someone), currently a Sport & Exercise Science student at Bath University as part of their Dual Career Programme. And is supported by a Trendell Sports Scholarship - good for Trendell (whoever they are).

Meanwhile Eden has the first set 6-2 v Kasia.

Megan has the first set v Natasha 6-3

And Olivia Nicholls has the first set 6-3 against the 4th seeded American !
