How frustrating given a chink of a window had opened up for a decent points hall with the first round win.

Two excellent points from Bambo give him and Lloyd the first break, against Meister and Quig

Is Cam eligible for DC currently? He would be my next pick after Dan and Kyle if it came to it

Totally agree, watched some of his footage on youtube, ruddy good player. The lasting impression I had was his consistency and the angles he is able subject his opponent to, playing very intelligently sort of within himself. Very impressive, perhaps without the fearhand but I thought, his backhand better, a more even player. With some more chest hair I can certainly see him hitting top100 within a couple of years.

He's eligable for GB for sure, although I'm a bit perplexed that similar to Kyle we was born in SA...  Don't know what the heck is going on here. Our best two youngsters born in Joberg SA.... I read somewhere that Kyle only started tennis once in the UK so he is home grown if you will, not sure about Cam but he seems certain of his allegence.smile

But was indeed born in Johannesburg, as was Mr Edmund. Rather rough on South Africa, but definitely helpful for GB. As paulisi says, Mr Norrie played under the NZ flag, but not - to the best of my knowledge - for South Africa.

Hopefully Cam can be a strength for many years in the Scotland Davis Cup team

Quite right he has the quintessential qualifications of a Scottish athlete born in Joberg, raised in New Zealand (Hamilton, Dunedin, or Invercargil will do fine) and he's called Cameron ...., fair play.
