Laura broken serving for the first set, 5-2*

It is very sad to this regression in Laura's game since the 6-0 6-0 result of just a few weeks ago

Nice of Laura to let Julia win a few games this time. Still a comfortable win and a tougher test up next.

 

might be a record low number of board posts during a Laura match but this is the sort of routine victory she was failing to pull off until a few weeks ago.

Next match will be far more challenging. I see Gonzalez also got through qualifying at USO this year but went on to win her first round match also.

Thanks for that info. I thought 150, that's OK, Laura's been around that for the last month.

But if Gonzalez has been effectively top 70-100, it'll be an interesting match.

Great start 2- 0 * Laura raced to a 40 -0 lead then Gonzalez won the next 4 points (I think) a few deuces and then Laura broke. She held her own serve to 30 with one df and one ace.

End of my commentary !!!! Sure many of you following anyway.
