Does look weird doesn't it !
But presumably they played the doubles first and Vanderbilt won the other two

I'm still confused about that and actually thoroughly confused generally here ( it has been known ! ). I see singles match 6 and doubles match 3. It is one match based on overall singles and doubles match wins isn't it ? Or something else ? Or you would apparently need more than 4 to win ?
Ah, possible enlightenment, reading between your lines, does the doubles just contribute one score based on who got the best of 3 ?
I dont come in here often !

They play dubs first. 3 courts at the same time each playing 1 set to 6 - no add deuce - tie-break to 7 at 6-6. The first team to get 2 sets wins the dubs point and the third dubs match is abandoned.
Then they play 6 3-set singles matches usually all at the same time, each match worth 1 point and first team to 4 points gets the tie - so win the dubs and 3 singles or lose the dubs and win 4 singles. If 6 courts aren't available (small schools or indoor facilities at usually sunny venues) the singles start from #1 and move down the order as courts become available.
Edit: and the numbers by the players (1-3 dubs / 1-6 singles) refer to their position in the lineup - so Emily played at position 6 in singles and position 1 in dubs.

Best of 3 doubles matches = 1 point - if win the first two, don't need to complete the third. 3 out of 6 singles wins = 3 points Total 4 points - can't be beaten, remaining matches suspended
Took me a while to get used to it, but since I have been following the results of some of our girls this year, it has finally made sense - well some sense anyway
Edit - as explained much better by The Optimist
