It's a tournament he may win. It is a fantastic achievement to be able to get into Princeton and play international level junior tennis.
I still don't see the college route as being a way into professional tennis unless you are on the cusp of the top 20, or because of lack of opportunity haven't played much ITF tennis and are underanked.
Academic qualifications aren't for everyone indeed some aren't worth the paper they are written on. Billy playing ITF's all around Europe in his trannie may have some dirty undies this week, but if that is not experience of a lifetime what is.
Holly is one I expect to do very well in the college system. It is interesting she has chosen to go to a team generally considered to be 'on-the-up' as opposed to an established powerhouse. But Americans do make me smile with their view of 'the world' - 'Holly is 57 (ITA) in the world'. ITA signifying 'in the world' of US college rankings........
Hopefully if Emily keeps winning she will get to play 1 or 2 and build a rank by playing the better college players. She is arguably there best prospect since Carol Zhao and Nicole Gibbs

thought it was strange that Emily is playing at 5 - should be higher than that.
No it's based on where coach thinks players fit, she's a freshman and at a strong team so probably getting her into things rather than dropping her in at the deep end. Chance to establish herself and if she's good enough she will move up the order. These top teams have some very good players so no assumption that she is better than those at 1-4 just now.
Yes, it is supposed to be in current strength order, so doesn't necessarily follow ratings. For example, Cam N is rated relatively lowly at the moment because from January onwards rankings are based only on college matches, whereas there is an element of voting at the start of the academic year. He hardly played any college matches before Christmas as he was busy competing in Challengers. However, he will certainly be at the top of TCU's lineup as the strongest player. If a coach feels his opposite number is playing the stronger players low down, maybe sacrificing the top positions in order to get a win he can challenge the result and have it overturned. It has to be pretty obvious though. This is where UTR comes in, although Emily currently has the highest UTR at Stanford!! This means she will probably move up the order very rapidly. However, even really strong freshmen often struggle when they first start off as they are not used to a team environment and a 'Davis Cup' type atmosphere. It is rare for a freshman to play above 3 initially for this reason. Emily though is a real team player, loves her lacrosse, loves all the county and club team tennis so I'm sure she'll find her feet quicker than most.
