Evo is the 16th alternate for both Beijing and Tokyo, and given the number of players registered for both he must be a shoo-in to get a DA in one or the other once things have shaken out...

There are no SEs to clear so it would need 16 players ahead of Evo to withdraw between the two events. That strikes me as somewhat unlikely.

Evo has entered qualifying for Tokyo and Kyle has entered qualifying for Beijing.

Looking at the lists, Kyle is 3rd ranked in Q's and Evo is 4th ranked in Q's so must fancy their chances of getting through into the main draws.

There are plenty of good players in these draws. Just because Evo and Kyle and now ranked 53 and 55 respectively it doesn't mean they have suddenly become prohibitive favourites against every player ranked outside the top 60.

Hi RJA, you're right if course but I guess they must be able to go in with some confidence - and being in the q seeded positions means they would presumably play a lower ranked player/non seed in round one. But you're right, all the entries are top 100 from the list making it stronger entry than even a top level challenger.

Looks like Dan & Kyle will both be top seeds in qualifying next week.

Broady out of Sacremento presumably as wont make qualifying sign-in

Not Brits but of note - Djokovic withdrawn from Beijing so Andy will be topseed if he plays; Wawrinka and Delpo with draw from Tokyo, Delpo due to fatigue apparently

No sign of Dino in Mons qualies.  He was down as fifth alternate on the entry list for Stockton, but hasn't turned up in qualies there, either, so unless he's somehow snuck into the main draw, may be he's decided to have a rest to recharge his batteries.

Dion pulled out of Fairfield for week 41 also so I think he is carrying an injury and or taking a break from the grind.  Worrying as he has so much to defend coming up.
