With all sympathy to the pair that had to pull out, I am so, so glad that Messrs Fleming and Fyrstenberg made it in. Hurrah to them for waiting (and improving the shining hour by offering commentary) and all the best of luck to them.

R2: (4) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 12 (4+8) vs Marcin Matkowski & Jürgen Melzer (POL/AUT) CR 1241 (33+1208) (& a combined age of 70!)
Not sure how the Austro-Polish partnership got in: Melzer's singles ranking is 367!
R2: (WC) Taylor Fritz & Tommy Paul (USA/USA) CR 752 (306+446) vs Dan Evans & Nick Kyrgios (AUS) CR 976 (625+351)
The Yank tyros progressed to the second round courtesy of a retirement on the part of Daniel Nestor & Vasek Pospisil, the sixth seeds.
If Colin & Mariusz manage to subdue the young Austrians (& I feel they should), they will face Jérémy Chardy & big Sam Groth, who dumped out the more than useful Colombian seeded pairing of Juan Sebastián Cabal & Robert Farah (13) in three sets in the first round.
Re Matkowski and Melzer's entry I am pretty sure it will be based on a doubles PR for Melzer. I know he has a singles PR and he was top 50 ranked for doubles last year.
