Week 35 - Belgium F12 ($10,000) - Middelkerke (clay)

Brilliant stuff, Tom.

Of course, he will now in all likelihood get the Flying Dutchman (who's actually Belgian but close enough....)

Which will probably be a far harder ask, given what form he's in.

Terrific stuff from Tom. I think most of us are aware that his ranking is not realistic and that he is a far better player than that would suggest. But even so, that is a massive win. I wonder if these successes will tempt him to give the tour another go. Sadly I doubt it, but he has to do what is right for him.

Agreed SC.  Definitely worth a ban-woohoo.gif

Oh, yes ! Double 'woohoo's !

Just checked and Tom's not on the list for the 25k in Belgium next week - which seems a shame but, as you say, he's obviously got his plan - I'd assumed he was coaching Jarryd, or working alongside Jarryd, or something along those lines because they've entered the tournaments together, so to speak, i.e. all the same ones, and played doubles each time together. But that's based on nothing concrete at all.....

QF:  (6) Joran Vliegen (BEL) WR 673 (CH = 508 at the beginning of this month) vs (Q) Tom Farquharson WR 1400

Vliegen, as said, was the winner of the 10k last week (so will jump up the rankings next week).

And the runner-up in the doubles.

But Tom played him a month back and only lost 4-6 in the third, which is pretty close....

And Vliegen also lost to Moraing quite easily a couple of weeks ago (i.e. the guy that Tom thrashed today).

So positive vibes....

Gutted for that one. But all in all, a decent effort from Billy, especially as he is still coming back from long term injury - again

It's tight but, as feared, Tom is slightly behind.

Lost the first set 4-6

But now 4-4 ......
