Weeks 35 & 36 - US Open

Hmm Stan looking much more dangerous now. Dan needs to find a way to win some points on serve

Dan did well to hold there, needing 2 aces to save bps and another bp saved through a W error. 1-0*

Big third set here. Hopefully Evans can nick it in a tie break. He's never going to break.

Ugly from the sound of it, but Mr Murray is through. Let's hope that was the 'bad match' of the tournament.

Nice drifted b pass winner from Dan to hold for 4-3*

Poor blocked return of a 2nd serve on set point, giving W an easy f winner. Big chance wasted. Stan had gifted him 3 points in that game. Dan made another poor return error off a 2nd serve earlier in that game. Stan missed 5 out of his first 6 first serves in that game.

Anyway, he came through to hold after being down 0-30 in a game with 2 dfs for 6-5*

Wow somehow Evo hangs in there and wins the third set 7-6 he's only won about 8 or 9 points in total on Stans serve the last two sets. One more set Dan for the shock of the year in any slam Id say...

And he's broken him in the 4rth playing out of his skin in a similar way to Lorenzi against Murray in the first two sets. 5 service holds needed. I can barely watch this...

Stay with it, Jaggy. Phenomenal performance from Evo, whatever the outcome.
