Weeks 35 & 36 - US Open

Indeed, it's a brave man that is calling anything for 2020, but we'll note it down

Been away with little internet. So thrilled to see Kyle's result this morning - I really really hoped he would do it, but prepared myself for the worst!
Very well done Kyle!

And soon onto Andy and Dan! The heady life of a British tennis supporter!

The scheduling of the Djokovic/Edmund match will be interesting. I'd be stunned if Sock/Tsonga didn't make it onto Ashe, and if they are going to pull Djokovic off Ashe, this is the round to do it: QFs onward are generally on Ashe, and in this round you've got two other matches - Nadal/Pouille and Monfils/Baghdatis - that involve crowd favourites and could be quite a lot of fun. The same could be true for Mr Murray if he gets through - especially if JMDP and Thiem, Kyrgios and Wawrinka also all get through. But to some degree Sunday and to a large degree Monday will potentially not be good days to be off Ashe ...

Everyone that thanked me for my reports, you're very welcome. I really appreciate everybody else's input on this board so it was good to 'put something back'.

I'm going tomorrow too for day time session on Arthur Ashe. I don't think I could beat yesterday's experience - three matches involving Brits and three wins. But if I get to see anything relevant, will pass on anything of interest.

Thanks, Nix, your reports are great - keep them coming, and have a great day on Ashe

Quite simply the worst set of tennis I have seen Murray play in a long time with 27 UEs. But he still takes it on a breaker.

Just arrived as AM lost the second set. Sigh. Was hoping to get through speedily.

NB: Carole Bouchard says (thanks to tweeters) right shoulder is taped. Is that new? Normal?
