I think this ranking breakdown, gives a good summary of who has to play which events:
The WTA rankings are based on a 52-week, cumulative system. A player's ranking is determined by her result at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles. The tournaments that count towards a player's ranking are those that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period. They must include points from the Grand Slams, Premier Mandatory tournaments and the BNP Paribas WTA Championships Singapore presented by SC Global. For Top 20 players, their best two results at Premier 5 tournaments (Doha, Rome, Cincinnati, Montréal/Toronto and Wuhan) will also count. In order to appear on the WTA rankings, players must earn ranking points in at least 3 tournaments, or a minimum of 10 singles ranking points or 10 doubles ranking points in one or more tournaments. The WTA Board of Directors approved an adjustment to the current WTA Ranking Point Distribution. The new ranking points was introduced over a 12-month period from the start of the 2014 season.
so GS and Prem Mandatory - automatically entered
Premier 5 - can withdraw from max 3 out of 5 events
Premier and WTA 250 - some restrictions, but I cannot remember all the rules...
You'd be truly exceptional if you did - the 2016 rulebook runs to some 468 pages, and the various rules on entry are scattered around different sections !
paulisi - great job with the lists - always use them as a first point of reference.
Just a question - where do you get your lists from ? I was looking at the ITF acceptance list for Nottingham, and it is slightly different from yours and wondered if you had a better source.

ITF from the ITF site - ITF updates daily so can quite easily differ

No major changes to entry. It looks like Katie B, in USA 75K, should make it into qualifiers when all the wildcards are announced, Lisa W will have to wait and see, but I expect some of the girls above her will decide not to sign in. Katie Swan may need a wildcard...
Katy Dunne looks like she has found a very good opportunity to pick up some points in a weakish 25K in Aus

Katie Swan did get a QWC, Katie B will make it into qualifiers, Lisa will probably, but not confirmed yet.
A see Bronte Murgett will make main draw at Nottingham without a ranking and without playing on the main tour before. Anyone know anything about her?
No, but if she's not played on the main tour before it'll certainly be a step up for her, possibly into some wuthering heights that she may struggle to get used to...
Bronte Murgett - age 17, LTA ranking 44, national ranking 20. Been playing mainly 18U tournaments in GB, but reached SF at the British Tour Grade 2 in Nottingham on July (seeded 5), lost to Anna Chesca, but beat Frankie Wilkes on the way through.
