They should have gone somewhere else - they are both talented but not at this level. Not sure they've learnt much here cry

They probably still have contacts in Poland and it will be a long drive, but fairly cheap to get to.

You could also say that they played the 50k in the UK and both won two Q rounds, so hoping to get through 1 Q round in a 25k was not that unreasonable.

However, the Surbiton 50k was (very conveniently) pretty weak, as events go, with lots of unranked GB players in the qualis, so points and wins were not that hard (Ola did get one excellent win against a top 1000 player but the sisters' other three victories were all against unranked players).

They've playing together in the doubles but have drawn the 4th seeds.

25k is a very hard level if your playing away and not surrounded by compatriots in the draw. A year ago this is something that Mandy might of tried, and they're just not there (yet). Still plenty of time smile

Impressive looking effort in the first set, against two quality players, but no W for the Pitak's
R1: Pitak/Pitak (GBR) lost to Ianchuk/Eikeri (UKR/NOR) [4] 6-7(3) 1-6
