I've seen J P Smith play a bit recently, and keep thinking that if he had a good and steady partner, he'd easily be back in the top 100 (where he was in 2013/14). Not quite clear why he hasn't had a consistent partner, unless it's because he's also still going at singles, too, and so doesn't want to jump up to Tour-level doubles with his doubles-focused peers.
