Local news report on Laura's win, including a few quotes from her: http://lancasteronline.com/sports/tennis/pro/a-day-of-matching-titles-for-laura-robson-at-koser/article_78a975b2-6275-11e6-9117-77b0d880f334.html
As Laura mentions in the article, the fact she got through so many matches without any injury problems is a good sign, and she didn't even look tired during the finals.
Thanks for posting, strikes me that Laura's head is in a decent place, getting back to the level she was at or better is process that requires patience ... Very pleased or both Laura and Freya.

Yes I agree. I almost think that Tara being ill really spurred Laura to get her head in gear and take hold of the precious talent and opportunity that she has.
The only downside for me is that I've no sight of her next tourney and I hope that she doesn't lose momentum before it.
Wasn't able to watch any of the matches but seems like a great week for Laura. I particularly liked reading some of the comments about her playing hard to beat, and a patient game. As somebody on here said nicely, this tournament was maybe what a lot of us had hoped for Laura early in her comeback as opposed to the numerous WC's, but then there's little point looking back like that. Hopefully, even if she loses momentum, she will maintain the belief - and no matter what, it's a step up from her 10k title.
Based on her response to the post match interview question on Sunday, this must have been a fairly recent decision, and I hope was awarded to her on the back of her performances this week.
Should be a good challenge for Laura, and let's see if she can keep up her form from Landisville.
Breaking new - Laura has been given a wildcard into US Open qualifying. It starts on Tuesday 23rd August, so not much of a break.
I think that a shorter break will be better - give her less chance to lose the momentum of this week. She had her first break though there, so it would be fitting for her to have her second too
I think she's got a fair chance of qualifying if she can keep it going. Tara will be there to remind her of how precious this opportunity is.
It must feel good earning the Wild Card this time. Hopefully this will be another stepping stone for her. Laura did qualify at Flushing Meadows before too.
I still can't agree with this WC.
Yes Laura won a $25K, in fine style, but, somewhat out of the blue.
That is all she's done in a year though.
This smacks of an unfair playing field, and influence being peddled from her high powered representation.
In the last year, she already had WC to a Grand Slam (Wimbledon), Premier Mandatory (Miami), 3 WTA Premiers (New Haven, Charleston, Birmingham), an International (Nottingham) and an ITF $100K (Vancouver). That's more than enough.
And, most importantly, it's completely unprecedented in the history of the WTA, and there have been plenty of players with at least as much talent who could have used a leg up at times.
Just because it's one of ours, I can't help but find this completely unacceptable. There's no argument for Laura had a high ranking, either, because she's had SR benefits, and there are players ahead of her, like Ula Radwanska, or Romina Oprandi, who had a ranking every bit as high as Laura's, but haven't received this extraordinary largesse - they've received nothing at all
What do players like Perrin, Sawayanagi, [everyone ahead of Laura] need to do to get some of this treatment? Well, qualify as of right. It's actually their only option, because it seems as though Laura and her team can hoover up any WC whenever they need to. Perhaps they should work on swelling their Twitter followers?
Not Laura's fault, but it absolutely stinks, and it shouldn't be allowed.
I think the commentator at Landisville 'Ken' mentioned something about a 'stand out' player at this tournament being in the running for a USO wildcard. He implied at the time is would be for an American player, and I remember thinking 'how wonderful' if Laura could be offered it and would the fact that she trained regularly in the States help her in that respect. So, I do think the mechanism was already in place for this Tournament to trigger a wild card offer and it wasn't wholly 'peddled from her high powered representation' as you, probably accurately in some respects, suggest.
