Oh, this is lovely. Hurrah, Ms Robson (and Ms Christie). She deserves this - delightful to see her beginning to find the way through. Can't imagine what it would be like to be so good, have things go so wrong, and have to work one's way back with nowhere to hide when things weren't going well. Good for her - and may things keep going upwards.
Good to see that Freya will take her doubles ranking into the 200s. May her singles ranking fairly soon follow. Just been stalling a bit of late, but still so much potential to make big moves forward.
( Laura too won't be far off being back in the doubles top 300 and will certainly be if they win the final. The pair will be GB doubles ranked #8 and #9 after the top 7 'usual suspects' and do seem very impressive as a pair. I must watch too )

Watched the match retrospectively, and like others have said this was the first time I've seen since the comeback that Laura has been running things down and playing solidly off the ground.
Much more promising than any of the plucky defeats at WTA/Grand Slam level in the last year.

Ah, I really really like his commentaries and his taste in music. But you have to tune in to radiotennis.com to get that as they cut it out on the stream.
In the warm-up: youtu.be/vc9hkN-k5VI
Warm-up is right, there's an official US government warning about physical exertion in Pennsylvania today from 10:00 local (now) until 18:00. Given events earlier in the week, I'm sure everyone will be being quadruply pre-cautious.
Good scheduling for watching Brits though, as this match will definitely not clash with Andy's Gold medal match.

I can't comment on his taste in music (but I'll try your radiotennis site, thanks !)
And I'm glad some people like him
But he's no MikeC ..... (and he's still driving me mad.....Ken, that is.....)
The US College system has much to recommend it. See Cam Norrie.
But probably not best to go on about the thing is Elbaba is a product of the American college system and how she's won so many matches in the midst of her getting steamrolled.
Good consistent stuff from Laura
