I found the commentator guy very funny when he said Tara was out of her mind about that call.

He then said the umpire had been wrong all week but on this call she was right. Yes the call in the match where you clearly wanted the American to win she was right on a tight call? Hmmm.

There were some awful line calls during Laura's match so I'm sure the commentator is right in general about the line calling, but he was definitely siding with Oudin on the calls too.

With all the higher ranked Americans out in Round 1, both Katie's match and Tara v Laura will be on the main court so should be streamed.

Really ugly set from both players. Almost no good tennis played at all.
There are unforced errors, and then there are completely unforced errors, and for the most part, this was a set of completely unforced errors, bordering on the embarrassing at times.
Alexandrova beat Ana Ivanovic at Wimbledon - no matter how bad Ana's form has been, you would never believe that result based on the Russian's performance here. Yet, she's had enough for the first set, and the scoreline flatters Katie.
But, she's found a way to get the scoreboard back level, breaking the Russian as she served for the set, *5-5

Tie Break was key Katie had got tight back into that after starting poorly. Be interesting to see how close Laura and Tara are, I think this might be very close this time.

Not a good match. Pretty much the result you might expect from a qualifier versus the no 2 seed, although Alexandrova wasn't exactly impressive

Some micro-conflict over the passing of balls around the court (no ballboys) which seems to fire Tara up and put Laura off....
