Kounusuke, there already is a Rio 2016 thread - cf. the General tennis discussion forum.  I'll give you a chance to see this reply, then I'm going to move your post there.

But Stircrazy, the women have their own dedicated thread in the women's section.

And there's been a lot of posts on there (that presumably were deliberately not put on the general tennis forum thread by the posters)

So it seems to make some sense to have a dedicated GB men's thread too.

And that leaves the general one for exactly that, the general tennis of Rio.

Just my view though...

Definitely should have its own mens section thread.

Not sure I fancy wading through three pages of discussion about Heather Watson trading moonballs with the Kosovan world number 350, for her to take a 6-2 4-0 lead before going 6-2 4-6 1-5 down only take it to 5-5 in the final set prior to an U12s quality denouement. Cue a bunch of fawning sycophants proclaiming it to be a "classic". Pass me the sick bag.

Anyway, back on topic, 2/2 into the second round please.

i fear you take "Jeff Stellings" name in vain, not comments worthy of a freeman of Hartlepool who cut his teeth on the LA and Seoul Olympics and a defender of all things Sian Massey's success represents, much more worthy of Richard Keys or Andy Gray. Please consider an an alteration in your nome de plume.

Jim Davidson perhaps? Jeremy Corbyn? There you go misogyny but broad political diversity take your pick.

How come Nole isn't playing today. I thought it was top half today, bottom half tomorrow?
