RE: Gabriella Taylor

I see that Gabi played doubles with Lucy Brown for the Roehampton Club in the National Premier League on Sunday.

Further research shows she played her 1st match for 3 years in September in the John Dunningham Trophy as a 'super sub' against the LTA Juniors.

I honestly don't expect Gabi ever to play professionally again. She's far too happy and successful with her art. However it's good to see that's she's still playing socially,

She does seem to be getting a bit more involved with tennis this year. She was at Surbiton watching Maia and and I'm sure I've seen her at other tournaments as a spectator. Good to see that she is playing socially at least.

I've seen her play occasionally this year on other players Instagram feeds so she hasn't turned her back on the game completely although who knows if she'd ever be willing to commit full time again.

I wouldn't be too shocked to see her back. An invite to one of the W25 in the UK coming at the right time. There are plenty of other players that took some time away and then came back. She will have learned a lot about herself in the last 18 months and have coping strategies in place that she never had the chance to consider with the relentless grind of the tour.
