US trip not great for Freya so far lost 1-6 1-6 last week Hope she can do better in second set today after losing 1-6 to Lao in first set

The effect of having lost lots of matches by trying at WTA level over the grass court season may be providing a bit of a temporary slump in confidence or form for Freya, which is unfortunate, as these US events are exactly the type she would be looking to utilise to establish herself more, and springboard further.

1-1 so far for Brits. Laura will break the tie, and I'm predicting a comfortable straight sets win.

 Plus I think the niggly injuries haven't helped, you have more confidence than myself about Laura, but at least she's up an early break, but we've been there before.

I think the long match against the Japanese player in Wimbledon qualies may have affected her
