If you do a search of this site, William Flavell comes up as having played in five different tournaments (3 10ks and 2 15ks)

- and got beaten in the first round of qualis, every time,

- and unfortunately very convincingly too cry

And he's now playing a top 300 player...........

I'd heard of William Flavell before but how he got a QWC here is anyone's guess. He has lost his last 11 matches in Futures qualifying but did get a QR1 win in Bol in August 2014.

Still, it's not nearly as odd as when Robert Dee, Adam Lownsbrough and Paul Brighten got main draw wild cards for far-off Challengers in the days when Challenger R1 losses were worth an ATP ranking point.

a quick lta player search shows william flavell has a 7.1 rating and is from middlesex

Assuming that's a true ranking, and not just based on one competition, say, that's .... well, let's just say, even more good luck to your arm, young man !

And I've just seen that the current score is 1-6 0-4

well it appears he has had a junior world ranking so is probably slightly underrated
