I did predict earlier in the year that both Gabi and Maia would be top 500 before the end of the year.
Gabi has clearly achieved that and quite a bit more ( and all the very best in her recovery ). But I did expect Maia to play much more regularly, which would no doubt help her progress forward as well as clearly more points opportunities. I assume yes that studies have limited her although she did have an early year ( at least ) niggle after her early success. Not sure if any other issues.
Yes, I'd agree with CD that her year for the most part has been pretty consistent on a hmm level, but again it's been rather on / off in playing much. And to be fair just looking now at her activity it's even quite a bit less than I was thinking.

Mariam Bolkvadze and Jennifer Timotin are the other two quasi-British girls (as well as Lily) that I follow a bit (as I've seen them all play a couple of times).
Are there other quasi-Brits?
