Yep shame that with Evo hitting some kind of rhythm in this erratic performance...blankstare

Well done Lloyd. Some issues with Wardy's self belief or something, very awkward to watch him like this..no

Lloyd seems to love the North American hard courts, seems a different player in these conditions, after a tough grass court season, nice to see him with his front foot forward again.

Well I think it is safe to say that he has played a few more matches on US hard courts than he has on grass.

Players are back on court (knocking up). Hopefully Evo can finish the job.

One serious consequence of today's result for James is that he may well miss out on US Open qualifying. The list will be based on next week's rankings and the best case scenario for James is that he will be 245. Last year the final cut was 237. We could end up with 4 British men in the main draw but none in qualifying.

Federer being out is one place closer. Wouldnt be surprised to see Nadal not make it as well. Sure there will be more the cut for the last two slams was 250plus was it not?

Alex Ward will just miss out as well and Brydan and Lloyd would need to make the final of this challenger to have any chance. So very frustrating all in all. We could with any luck though have 5 or even 6 in Aus Open qualies. Ed Corrie has almost no points to defend and will go top 300 again soon I reckon and Liam will be close next Slam.

Could be 10 GB men at Aus Open with a bit of luck.

Meister took out the sixth seed, Halys, by 2 & 2 in the first round...

Lloyd knocked Meister out in the same round (R2) in Binghamton last week.

What a short memory I have!  Had forgotten that!

Should have closed that game at *4-3. Had 4 match points and made 2 or 3 poor errors.
