I'd agree Bob, upset potential for sure.

What a frustrating end to that set, played great to get back into it, then committed harikari to lose it.

Really? JW may not be having a great time of it at the moment but he's still some way ahead of Lloyd for now

L32:  (WC) William Bushamuka (USA) WR 2022 (CH = 960 last September) vs Liam Broady WR 275 (CH = 158 last August)

The top seed is Adrian Mannarino (WR 55).

Update (with new rankings in all cases).  As noted by BiS:

L32:  (Q) Lloyd Glasspool WR 282 (= CH) vs James Ward WR 244 (CH = 89 last July)

Really ?

At or indeed anywhere near his best yes, but that has been very rarely glimpsed for some time. At his normal in recent times I don't think so.

I was just wondering Phil, if this post had made its escape from the Women's section ?  smile

Lloyd v James should be on livestream the match before it is in a 2nd set tie break so could be soon or might be a while yet. I see the odds are with James when it comes to the bookies. Which surprises me given James form this year and Lloyds move up the rankings.

Pretty tight though, on bet365 anyway. Lloyd 1/1, James 3/4.

Lloyd takes the first set 6-3

Both guys served OK.

But from the back of the court, James' aggressive play was a touch better than Lloyd's.

But Lloyd's defense was miles better than James'.

And so, net net, justice done.
