Interestingly, NoDjo has teamed up with Nenad Zimonjic & they are in Jamie's/Bruno's quarter of the draw.  The unfortunate task of playing NoDjo & Zimonjic falls to Adil Shamasdin, who has a wild card with his compatriot, Philip Bester.

Unfortunate it may have been on paper, but the Canuck WCs get the better of the Serbs by 7-5 4-6 [10-2]. would you believe?!!  bleh

Surprising, but very nice for Shamasdin +

R2:  Bernard Tomic & Victor Troicki (AUSA/SRB) CR 559 (428+131) vs (2) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 14 (5+9)

T & T clearly had too much for the Canadian Wunderkinder, Shapovalov & Auger Aliassime, as they beat them quite comfortably by 4 & 3.

The fact that Canada can put a 17 year old and a 15 year old into a Masters Tournament and they can come away with a 4 & 3 loss (one break of serve each set?) is in itself somewhat amazing.

FAA is quite a curious phenomenon actually: I hope he comes through all right. He's getting huge pressure and expectation for someone that young.

Except when he's playing one of our lads! wink

I was meaning more in terms of being able to keep balance - not winding up burned out or over-pressured the way some precocious talents on both the men's and women's side have. One thing he has going for him is that he's not alone - being in a cohort with Shapovalov and Sigouin should help to keep some of the pressure off.

Yay, Jamie & Bruno win 3-6 7-5 [10-4]

They won the second set, avoiding a TB, on the death point at 6-5* 40-40, and didn't look back in the MTB.

The Bryans are out, beaten by Mergea & Tecau.
