This is a fantastic performance so far from Laura, considering her CH win was ~900 at the start of the week, she's already improved that by 180 places, and is now in with a chance of taking that mark under WR500!

... "lucky" has little to do with it. Her close loss in FQR here was her first qualies loss in her last 5 tournaments. Previous to this one, she'd won 13 matches for the loss of 4. So she's clearly getting a bit too good for 10k qualifying, with every hope of already holding her own in 10k main draws, as soon as her ranking improves enough to give her regular direct acceptances.

EDIT - Sorry, missed one qualies loss in her penultimate; but she's still won loadsa matches, and got very little in points to show for it, until now.
