Funnily enough Freya is fit enough to play after last week's retirement...
I think that's a touch below the belt, to be honest.
She hasn't even played yet so we don't, in fact, know if she's fit enough to play or not.
And, assuming she does, it's pretty common to only need 4-5 days of recovery for a minor-ish injury.
She played a tight full first set in Italy and then, for whatever reason but presumably because she didn't feel she should continue, and there's lots to be said for being cautious, especially after the injury she's just had, she retired. I don't think we can, or should, read more into it than that.
Freya is playing. There is a picture on twitter with her training.
She wasn't meant to play in Imola and then she retires injured in her first match. Co-incidence? It happens all the time when players turn up just to avoid a big fine.
I think Tara vs Laura could be pretty close, though frankly it could be anything. That is probably mainly to do with how Laura performs, but her form over recent months does not lead me to expect an easy Tara win.
