And although tough probably is a bit of a summation of Luke's year to date ( 9 ranking points before this week ) a QF win should take him back into the top 500 on Monday week.
He's not had to beat anyone in the top 1000 to get there, but a useful run and few points for Luke after a slow first half of the year. Let's hope he can capitalise and pull off a big win tomorrow.

It's funny the way rankings play out Bambo is really on a level with the likes of Liam yet is 300 places below him. Needs a bit of luck to push up hopefully this is the start of it.

Not at all sure why you say Luke is really on a level with the likes of Liam ( not sure who else you put in that category anyway ) given how he has relatively struggled to get wins, hence his ranking points and rankings. To be frank he consistently doesn't show any such thing.
9 ranking points all year before this week, where while the draw has worked out well he has still got the wins to earn 8 points so far and take that to 17. Luke's CH ever is 481 and that can't be consistently bad luck but rather more a level he has not got beyond. I wish for him it was better.
Liam has quite consistently achieved far far more. One can talk about over and underranked. Rankings don't lie to that extent as I am sure any sort of analysis of their results on the match courts over time and more recently would show.
