Jo kinda taking over the afternoon session with her singles SF due off at 2 pm local ( 10 pm BST ) and her doubles SF following "after suitable rest".

The schedule is 2pm : singles SF followed by doubles SF, then 7pm : singles SF followed by doubles SF with Jo the only player with two SFs to play.

If sticking to that ( and clearly playing her singles before her doubles ) the first singles SF spot was no doubt best for Jo ( though the organisers maybe preferred Venus for night anyway ) with neither doubles slot that good : relatively little rest vs long day before hopefully final(s) tomorrow. I wonder what if any input Jo had to her scheduling.

Tough schedule, but given the option of playing singles in the afternoon and doubles at night, probably better this way, rather than a long day

Yes I think on balance I agree.

Anyway, just as long as she isn't playing some relentless fight for every point player in her singles. Ah ...

Super efficient.

94% of points won when her first service lands. If it's not winning the point in itself she has been very good in immediately getting totally on top with her next shot.
