WTA Highlights and post match interview, for those that want a quick catch up; Interview: http://www.wtatennis.com/videos/article/5753831 Highlights (3 minutes):
Yes, I looked up to see what she was doing last year, to see what points she has to defend. Her equivalent tournament this time last year was a $50k. Amazing.
We knew that Jo would now be effectively #8 in the race due to Vika's pregnancy. And I see this morning that she is actually #8 since Vika has been ruthlessly expunged from this season's table.
Bet365 cruelly cut off as soon as the win is registered. Was there a nice exchange between them at the net ?
Yes, that's the most annoying thing about bet365 live streaming, but there's video of the presentation speeches at https://twitter.com/WTA/status/757361010864902148 (Jo) & https://twitter.com/WTA/status/757360082233417728 (Venus) and plenty more on the tournament and WTA twitter accounts.
Shame you weren't able to watch everything at the time Julia. This time they showed everything live including all the speeches. Perhaps you cut it off too soon not expecting them to show everything like they usually do but as Steven has kindly added links now everyone can share. Thank you Steven :)
WTA had a decent length chat with Jo after her win, and the (text) interview is here: www.wtatennis.com/news/article/5755391
Including an absolute bombshell revelation in the final question.
Personally, I've never seen the point of milkshakes: you take a delicious cool glass of milk, add something equally delicious like strawberries or chocolate, waste a load of unnecessary energy, and produce something that doesn't taste as good as any of the individual ingredients would have on their own.
