This seems like a pretty weak field for a Premier tournament, and fairly strange to have byes for the top seeds in what is now only a 28 player draw. Hopefully Jo can take advantage of both, though she will have to overcome her habit of starting slowly after each surface change.

Doing well... enough. Not peak Jo by any means, some nice stuff, a good lob, a blinding squat BH DTL winner. But, some bad too, serving for the first set, at *5-1, coughed up 3 DF in that game.
Now serving for it at the second time of asking.
