Great if they kept apart and both reached the semi finals, but may have been unlikely. That said it's not the strongest of fields and they have in each other got the highest seeds they could have met at this stage ( all 8 seeds made the QF ). So not that clearcut.

I think Neil's serve might have had something to do with it as well, 7DF and 0 Aces, lost 6 out of 13 break points.
