Yes, Eden was 4-1 up in the 3rd, only for Ka to win the last 5 games However, the only reason that Ka is unranked is because she is a successful US college player and she is actually on a 10-match winning streak, having won the title in Amarante last week from qualifying, which of course means she'll be ranked next Monday.

That run in Amarante ended with a trio of 3-set wins and she was a set and 3-5 down in the final before turning the match around, edging the 2nd set tiebreak 8-6 before winning 7-5 in the 3rd, so great escapes seem to be her thing at the moment!

Sam won the first set 6-1

Was losing the second (3-5 down? 2-5? can't remember).

Came back to lead 6-5 and serve for the set. Got broken.

And then lost the TB 7-5 .... :(

Poor Sam has had to retire from her Semi-Final:

SF: (3) Samantha Murray WR 604 lost to (6) Maria Jose Luque Moreno WR 725 (CH 719 last month) 3-0 Retired


Here's hoping she's OK. Whether she attempts the doubles, or not, will probably be some indication of how serious an issue it it.....
