L16: (15) Nick Kyrgios (AUS) WR 18 (= CH) vs (2) Andy Murray WR 2
The irritating Aussie has never beaten Andy in four encounters since 2014. They met three times last year, most recently in the first round of the USO, when Kyrgios finally took a set off him. None of that means that he isn't dangerous...
This is the first match that I'm nervous about. If focused Nick turns up and dozy Andy, he could lose. I'm happier now he's got Lendl back. Hopefully this will give him the edge to just get the business done quickly.
I was struck that when people were asking about Novak Djokovic's loss, Andy Murray's response wasn't just the usual platitude that you have to take things round by round but that the next round, in particular, was going to be a difficult one. Gather Kyrgios played a bit of a blinder at times yesterday.
A good day to have Centre Court tickets. (Or any tickets. Even grounds passes.....)

Yes, I like how the tournament is generally shaping up for Andy, but a bit nervous about today, more say than the potential QF against Gasquet or Tsonga.
Probably need a consistent and focussed Andy from the off, and it is reassuring to see Lendl back watching from on high.
Did anyone else think that Nole had 'normal' eyes in his presser? Not his bulging ones as of late.
I wondered whether he'd had to stop using his pod for health reasons, and his lack of form was due to withdrawal symptoms. Add to that any health worries that would have led him to stop using his pod.

His what?
Hyperbaric pod.
Yea, I'm not really up much on the detail except that it has been much talked about ( i.e.. its use rather Helen's interesting observations - I didn't see his PC ). So if anyone wants to know more say googling 'Djokovic pod' will provide various sources of info.
QF: (12) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) WR 12 (CH = 5 in February 2012) vs (2) Andy Murray WR 2
Forgot to mention the head-to-head yesterday: 12-3 in Andy's favour. JWT beat him in straight sets their first-ever encounter in Nottingham (grass) in 2004, infamously in four sets the first round of the Oz Open four years later & then not again until the quarter-finals of the Canadian Open in 2014. Significantly, Andy has beaten him twice at Queen's (the 2011 final - three sets - & the 2013 semi-final, again in three sets) & twice at Wimbledon (the 2010 quarter-finals - four sets - & the 2012 semi-finals, again four sets). I just hope he hasn't worked him yet!
